To finish the guitar, we first installed the strings over our pre-set bridge saddles. we put them thouh the string farals and we used a string winder to wind them up. Then, we set string hight at the 12th freat by aujsting the saddles . then we set the hight at the 1st fret by filing down the nut slots. Finally, we we set the 12th string sounds like the open string. we used an electronic tuner to check.

we did freat spaceing and the sprend sheet. the spread sheet calculated the right number for the spcaein for the frets and all we had to do was enter the scail length for the gutar. For our guitars, the at was 25.5″.

week14

This week, I drilled a hole for the output jack on the project guitar. This hole is located on the bottom right side of the guitar and passes into the electronics control cavity. The tools I used were a 7/8 forstner bit and a drill.

I learned that i have to push on the bit to get it to pass through the hard maple. I also worked on my test and we talked about the wiring of our guitars and how the signal goes to one point from the other point. I learned with continuity that it is not directional does not matter which way the signal goes.
